ST Paul’s Convent - Birmingham

Project Duration: 2 Year
Value: £3.1m
Scope: Full interior demolition and refurb to create 24 infirmary bedrooms & ensuites. New reception, offices, kitchen and training facilities

This project, which spanned over 4 floors, was broken down into 6 phases working in an occupied convent for elderly sisters. The design brief was to create an infirmary containing 24 bedrooms all with ensuites. Also, to be included were several kitchens, servery kitchens, assisted bathrooms, new reception areas, training facilities and new management offices.

The build was challenging with major demolition works needed. We worked closely with the senior management team to ensure minimal disruption for the elderly residents. Several consultants were involved in the project which had a full mechanical and electrical package. All bedrooms were fitted to a full infirmary specification including nurse call and full DDA compliant bathrooms.

To complete, the rear gardens were fully landscaped to a create a safe, reflection area for the residents.
